Afternoon Tea Experience Days: Can you think of a more British treat than warm, oven-fresh scones and homemade jam? We can’t, and that’s why we’re delighted to offer this traditional baking class in Warwickshire. Grab your apron and join an experienced baker for an afternoon of hands-on scone making using only organic ingredients, top tips and friendly conversation.
The experience takes place in Stratford-upon-Avon, in the West Midlands, and your teacher is Fulden—a passionate cook and former café owner. She began baking with her mother and grandmother when she was a child, and she now loves sharing her knowledge with others. On arrival, you’ll begin by preparing the mixed berry jam, clotted cream and a seasonal pudding, that will accompany your finished scones. After the scones you will move on to making mini chocolate fudge cakes, Victoria sponges, a variety of sweet and savoury and savoury scones (traditional and seasonal). While they’re in the oven, you can enjoy a good chat and a cup of tea, before finally tasting the results of all that hard work! When the fun-filled lesson concludes, they’ll be plenty left to share with loved ones at home.
The traditional scone baking class in Warwickshire would make a thoughtful experience gift for Bake-Off fans and keen home cooks. Surprise them with an Experience Days gift voucher—and look forward to show-stopping scones in the future!
